Everything seems to work well and i can finally fit a 70b model into the vram with 4 bit quantization The 3090 is the only card i'd be worried about a 750e, and that's only because the 3090 can sp8oke in power draw (averages would be fine) 3090 is give or take similar to a 4070 super in performance, with less vram

Now lets forward think, 4070 super is likely going to be similar to a 5060 ti or so end of 2024 or early 2025 when its released. The 3090 has about 5% better performance than the 4070 super With that said i would go with the newer card for all the new features The 4070 super can absolutely handle 4k
If you want higher frame rates you will want to use dlss and/or frame gen I would go with the 4070 super in your use case Depending how much cheaper the 3090 is. How many tokens per second do you guys get with gpus like 3090 or 4090

I have a pny 3090 revel and i was never happy with the temps so i looked into undervolting Didn’t realize how easy it is If my card is under 65c it will boost to 1905mhz and if it goes over 73c which rarely ever does, it drops to 1875 Some of the newer pc games are using more than 12 gb of vram also if you are a video editor i can definitively say this because i upscale videos to 8k and the 3090 converts videos in half the amount of time that the 3080 and 3070 converts.
3090 + p40 is what i've been running for several months It's nice to play with 70b models but things get slow when the context grows to about 4k I'll probably end up swapping the p40 for a second 3090 eventually to get faster speeds.
