I recently purchased a new computer and want to setup thunderbird to use my att yahoo mail account Normal password (although a secure mail code is being used and oauth2 would not work). I went through the automatic process and got an incorrect information message

I tried yahoo's instructions and they don't match what shows up in the account setup in thunderbird Pop mail server, sever name I am stuck and need some step by step instructions to set this up.
I read that i now need a secure mail key so i can access my emails with third party app thunderbird
I have created a secure mail key at att.com which is part of yahoo My email app is att.yahoo.com I was told the passwords for thunderbird would be within the profile under the profile folder but i cannot find them there. Thunderbird won't login to att yahoo mail (with new suggested settings and oauth2 password) 2 replies 2 have this problem 88 views last reply by szappanos 5 years ago
Att.net is blocking my access to att/yahoo email from my att.net account using firefox '''''''but not using chrome?''''''' i have stopped all tracking and cookie blocking something's gone wrong we may be having trouble with your connection Created a the secure mail key Sent test email, entered the key when prompted for password, and the mail was sent However, i'm still not getting incoming mail
I checked the saved passwords box
It seems to be empty Everything is greyed out, so i can't enter or delete anything I had expected to type the secure mail key in the top box. Several days ago tb daily started asking for my att (yahoo) password
Tb initially rejected my password but i did forgot password and added exactly the same password back since it was working on att (yahoo) web mail. Thunderbird can be used as a client for an at&t email account Thunderbird will download messages from the at&t server and store them on your local system. All of a sudden, yahoo email is not signing on firefox on windows 11
It is working on other browsers on the same computer, and even on firefox on the mac computer that is running the windows 11
I tried all possible solutions but to no avail. I've seen variations of this problem a lot Emails from my att/yahoo account have not downloaded on thunderbird since october
